Who better than a painter and a poet, can find within his sensibility and his imagination original motifs capable of translating the need for peace into a concrete image?

We know that there is an important link, a precise interaction between the reasons of creativity, fantasy, lyrical suggestion and those of the collective imagination.

We have therefore asked painters and poets to testify in favor of peace – expressing themselves with works and works directly or indirectly addressed to that theme – to use them, that is, to evoke through their suggestions the question of peace.

The need for peace is not a foregone conclusion, and must be constantly recalled, each time it must be proclaimed with the maximum possible force against the possible drowsiness of consciences.

Violence and war are not the answer to problems but they are the problem. We declare peace against the war!
